15th - 17th May 2023 Hengstberger Workshop: Bioelectronics: mimicking and interfacing biological systems
The interaction between biology and electronics and its application, for example in the form of biosensors, is the subject of a Hengstberger Symposium taking place at Heidelberg University from May 15 to 17, 2023. The conference “Bioelectronics: mimicking and interfacing biological systems” will bring together scientists from various disciplines to present and discuss new developments and current challenges in this field of research. The conference at the Internationalen Wissenschaftsforum Heidelberg is organized by Dr. Elisa Fresta and Dr. Yan Huang.
Elisa Fresta and Yan Huang, who are both postdoctoral researchers at the Institute of Physical Chemistry, are two of the Hengstberger Prize winners for 2022. The Klaus-Georg and Sigrid Hengstberger Prize is awarded annually to three young scientists or teams of scientists at Heidelberg University. With the prize money of 12,500 euros each, young researchers are given the opportunity to hold an interdisciplinary symposium at the IWH, either individually or as a team.
