Doctoral Projects in Applied Physical Chemistry:

We have an open doctoral researcher position (67% E13 for 3 years) with a focus on optoelectronic properties (charge transport and spectroscopy) and covalent functionalization of purified single-walled carbon nanotubes. The project requires excellent experimental skills in the lab (chemical functionalization, laser optics, device processing in a cleanroom) and analytical skills to explore the interaction of charges, defects and excited states in single-walled carbon nanotubes.

Master Thesis Projects:

We are currently looking for a master student (physics or chemistry) who would like to work on the following topic as part of the SFB 1225 (Isoquant): Developing, building and testing a new setup for near-infrared charge modulation spectroscopy at cryogenic temperatures to study and understand the absorption signatures of excitons and trions (charged excitons) in weakly to moderately doped semiconducting single-walled carbon nanotubes.
